ApplicationAll characters must be accepted by staff before they can be thrown into roleplay. Here's the board to post your unaccepted character in. Once you're done, staff will come by and accept it or tell you what needs to be fixed about it. Once a staff member has looked it over, your character's thread will be moved to the "Accepted" board.

Drakkar BayWhat look to be piers jut into the sky from all different angles of the Ocular. These are, in fact, places where dragons can launch and land with little difficulty.

The top of the Ocular is a vast, open space. The Ocular itself looks like a large flying saucer about half a kilometer across and a hundred meters tall. Its sides curve up a little so that the Deck is only about four hundred meters in diameter, but it’s still large enough for the Drakonrhedi to use it as a meeting space, sparring area, and more.

Paragon & Centurion OfficesAt the center of the Ocular is the Command Center. Not only is it where the Ocular’s course is plotted, but it is where the Council meets. The Command Center is heavily guarded and closed off to almost everyone.

QuartersMedical BayAnalyst LaboratoriesThe interior of the Ocular has multiple levels and is organized in concentric circles. This is space for roleplaying the unmentioned areas within the Ocular, such as the mess halls, armories, and practically everything an organization of dragon riders could need.

The bottom side of the Ocular is covered with many small rooms, accessible from the sky, that mimic caves. These are the dragon roosts. The dragons select their home from an empty roost when they arrive, and for the rest of their time in the Ocular they will live there. The roosts are accessible from inside the Ocular, too.

The Drassil falls away for a few kilometers before the Spine rises from the ground like a crown of rock. The two massive peaks that flank the pass leading to Dawn are affectionately known as the Guardians, and are perhaps the most highly fortified area of human habitation. Behemoths are constantly trying to wander into the pass, and it’s the job of the many guard posts along the Guardians to spot them and take them out.

A multitude of airship docks extend from Dawn into the sky, allowing for travellers and the Dawnguard alike to store their ships. There are even some repair shops, but supplies are limited and expensive.

The Dawnguard, responsible for maintaining peace and prosperity in Dawn, sleeps, trains, and lives in these massive buildings. The Dawnguard’s prodigious armory is also contained within the barracks.

A bustling place at all hours of the day, the Market Plaza is at a major intersection in the city. During sunlight hours, vendors of all types hawk their merchandise to the travellers and natives of Dawn. At night, it’s a gathering area for festivals and friends--as well as seedier types.

One of the bigger establishments in Dawn, the Battleboar Inn is in a prime location: the intersection between the Dawnguard training grounds, the Market Plaza, and the entrance to the city. Appropriately named, the Battleboar Inn is known as much for its bar fights as it is for its hearty cuisine.

The colony ship’s hull is vast. Despite the years spent living in it, there are still many, many rooms and levels that are not officially charted by the Dawnguard. These are filled with the unknown dangers of the sea creatures, gangs, and whatever mysteries were secreted away on the colony ship.

The massive forest of the Drassil covers most of the known lands on Altayr. The trees dwarf even the behemoths, and the Drakonrhedi often prefer to bait the behemoths into the forest before separating them and picking them off. Frequently, for an apprentice’s first kill, their mentor will bait a single younger behemoth into the forest, after which the apprentice descends on them.

Although a large portion of the crash survivors now live in Dawn, there are still villages sprinkled in easily defensible and hidden locations throughout the Drassil. These are patrolled by the Drakonrhedi, who assist with whatever behemoths are nearby and pick up any new dragon riders to join their ranks.
As noteworthy villages are created in members' backstories, subboards may be added.

The massive mountain range known as the Spine is separated by a thin strip of plain from the east side of the Drassil. The Spine is filled with the nests of certain behemoths, which incubate their eggs during the winter. The Drakonrhedi strike at these nests during the fall and spring to try and clear out the young behemoth population before they become a problem.

To the north beyond the Drassil, there is a vast grassland positively teeming with behemoths. To most, it’s suicide to go anywhere but the very fringes of the Expanse. If you squint, you can just barely make out the shadow of the Spine turning westward.
